A cultivated fellowship of Humaning
Fruitfulness, not size, is the measure of the grove.
The Olive & Vine Fellowship is an invitation-only community within UMANIAMO® for people who want to practice Humaning in deeper relationship with others.
An olive tree does not become an olive tree because it is admitted to a grove. Its identity is already given. The boundary does not create the olive. It protects a place where the olive can be cultivated.
We believe the same is true of the human person.
Your dignity does not come from membership here. You are already Authored. Olive & Vine is simply a place where people who recognize that dignity in themselves and others agree to help cultivate and protect the conditions in which it can become fruitful.
The olive reminds us that each person is distinct and irreducible. The vine reminds us that none of us is self-sufficient. Together they express a central conviction of UMANIAMO®: we are human together, or not at all.
Olive & Vine is not a networking group, professional association, or membership program. There is nothing to apply for, purchase, or earn. Participation begins with an invitation into relationship and carries an expectation of reciprocity.
We gather to reflect and discern together, bring different ways of thinking into relationship, strengthen one another’s judgment and agency, share what we have learned, and put our gifts into service. We do not gather merely to accumulate connections, exchange information, or agree with one another.
Our measure is different:
After this relationship, is there more human capacity than before it?
That question applies to everyone in the grove.
Knowledge should become mentoring. Experience should become guidance. Strength should become service. Resources should create opportunity. Relationships should make room for another person. What we receive is not simply circulated among ourselves; it is cultivated and reinvested so that someone else can bear fruit.
This is also why the grove has a boundary. Trust requires conditions. Honest disagreement requires relationship. Discernment requires freedom from performance. Growth sometimes requires pruning. And fellowship requires people willing not only to receive from the community, but to accept responsibility for what happens within it.
In the language of UMANIAMO®, this is part of the Michaelic Shield Wall. If the person beside me is Authored, then their dignity, agency, judgment, freedom, and capacity to discern become something I cannot simply treat as expendable.
The shield does not make the olive an olive. It protects the grove so cultivation can continue.
Olive & Vine will grow slowly and relationally. Invitations emerge through participation in the life and work of UMANIAMO®—through the Sunday Table, REDISCOVER U®, Cognitive Advantage, service, conversation, collaboration, and the relationships that form around them.
There is no public application.
There is no promise that the Fellowship will become large.
Fruitfulness, not size, is the measure of the grove.
Ad maiorem Dei gloriam.
We are human together, or not at all.
