Essential Courageous Agility

Most leadership programs end with a certificate. This one ends with an approved project.

A project-based, three-module micro-credential for managers and team leads. You build a cognitively diverse, purpose-built team, learn how it actually thinks, put that diversity to work on a real organizational challenge through design thinking, and carry the result through your stakeholder network to a formal pitch — finishing not with a certificate, but with a project cleared to advance beyond prototype.

Built to the International Society for Performance Improvement's standards of performance. Grounded in the Emergenetics® Profile.

Delivered live on ZOOM

What makes it different

  • An outcome, not a credential. You leave with a sanctioned organizational project, ready to build — the difference between my people learned something and my people delivered something the organization approved.

  • Cognitive diversity as the engine. Not a slogan. The program is built on how people genuinely think differently — and turns that difference into collaborative intelligence rather than friction.

  • Applied the whole way. A real challenge, real stakeholders, a real go-decision. No long classroom ramp.

Awareness, then action, then advocacy: know how you think, solve something real, and earn the mandate to build it.

This program meets the International Society for Performance Improvement's 10 Standards of Performance and the PLUS Standards for Potomac.

The frame: D.E.E.P.E.R.

Every module runs on one frame — a plain-language map of how people think, act, and learn, grounded in the Emergenetics® Profile.

D — Details (the structural mind): How, exactly? The plan, the steps, the practical reality.

E — Evidence (the analytical mind): What does the data actually say? The logic and the proof.

E — Empathy (the social mind): How will this land with people? The human reality.

P — Prospective (the conceptual mind): What's the bigger possibility? The vision, the what-if, picturing what could be.

E — Execute (drive and adaptability): Turning insight into motion — the will to act and the agility to adjust.

R — Reflection (how you process): Learning from what just happened, whether you reflect inwardly or out loud.
The first four are how a team sees — and most teams are missing one or two of them. Execute is how it moves. Reflection is how it learns. To go D.E.E.P.E.R. is to add action and learning to thinking — which is exactly what turns a capable group into a courageous, agile one.

Module One

Amplify Collaborative Intelligence with D.E.E.P. Listening

Awareness

Build the team and its self-knowledge. Using the Emergenetics® Profile and a focus on character, each person learns how they think and how their teammates think — so the team listens across difference instead of talking past it. This is your cognitive advantage, and the foundation everything else stands on.

Module Two

Accelerate Collaborative Action with D.E.E.P. Learning

Action

Put the diversity to work. The team applies design thinking to a real organizational challenge — empathizing, gathering evidence, imagining possibilities, and prototyping a solution — learning by building rather than by sitting still.

Module Three

Advance Collaborative Relationships with D.E.E.P. Leading

Advocacy

Navigate the organization. The team maps its stakeholder network, builds the relationships that decisions actually travel through, and delivers a formal pitch — with the intent of a clear approval to take the project beyond prototype.

The capstone: project, presentation & graduation

The program ends not in an exam, but in a real project coached to a real decision.

Project coaching. Across Modules 2 and 3, your team is coached as it shapes its solution — applying the D.E.E.P.E.R. frame to a live organizational challenge, not a case study.

The project and presentation. Leaders at every level work hands-on with customers, cross-organizational peers, vendors, and partner organizations to innovate and improve. The structure of those internal and external relationships contributes as much to a team's success as the relationships among its own members. So instead of trying to control the environment, your team practices Advance Collaborative Relationships with D.E.E.P. Leading — inclusively bringing together diverse heads, hands, and hearts — and delivers a formal presentation of its project to the people who can authorize it.

Graduation. You graduate when the project earns its mandate: a clear decision to proceed beyond prototype. You leave with the micro-credential — and with something the organization has approved you to build.

Why it Works

The reflective practice: the D.E.E.P.E.R. Examen

Woven through all three modules is a structured reflection — the D.E.E.P.E.R. Examen — that turns experience into double-loop learning: not merely adjusting what you did, but examining the assumptions underneath it. It is the habit that keeps a team learning faster than its problems change, long after the program ends.
