In an age increasingly shaped by fragmentation, loneliness, distraction, ideological polarization, performative identity, and disembodied digital life, UMANIAMOⓇ seeks to restore the conditions that allow people to remain fully human together.

We describe this work as Humaning.

Humaning is the active practice of cultivating relationships, presence, reflection, courage, stewardship, and embodied participation within everyday life. Humaning recognizes that humanity is not sustained automatically. It must be nourished intentionally through families, communities, rituals, meals, service, meaningful work, contemplation, and shared responsibility carried across generations.

UMANIAMOⓇ therefore functions as a living ecclesia: not a replacement for the Church, but a bridge back toward lived participatory communion.

The earliest Christian communities gathered around tables, shared burdens, practiced remembrance, formed one another through relationship, and learned how to remain human within unstable civilizations. UMANIAMOⓇ seeks to recover this relational and embodied dimension of faith and humanity in a modern context.

The Sunday Table, Humaning Circles, the Humaning Covenant, REDISCOVER UⓇ, contemplative practices, and the D.E.E.P.E.R.™ Examen are all designed to support this restoration of relational life through practical participation rather than passive consumption.

UMANIAMOⓇ understands spirituality not as escape from humanity, but as deeper participation within it.  UMANIAMOⓇ is ordered by six intentional promises that together form the architecture of the Humaning Covenant. These are not “values” in the modern sense. They are lived commitments practiced personally and collectively over time:
